What is the difference between
Maguro and Sa-Me or
Ka-Ni and Sa-Ba ?

The main difference between the Maguro and Kani styles against the Sa.Me and Sa.Ba, is the fitted iron dome at the toes of the boot in the Sa.Me and Sa.Ba styles.

The iron dome creates a rounder, fuller look to the front of the boot and provides an extra layer of protection for your toes. The Sa.Me and Sa.Ba styles are great for those of you wearing Fugu to work, or for more strenuous outdoor activities that require a bit more protection.

Aesthetically the Iron dome in Sa.Me and Sa.Ba styles creates a fully rounded, solid, boot look. The difference is, that without the iron dome in the Maguro and Ka.Ni styles, the front of the boot carries a more slim fitting aesthetic. The top of the toes is flatter and more fitting in design as there is no dome inserted inside and the edge of the shoes come to a more natural rounded point at the top.

Due to it’s more flexible nature, the maguro and Ka.Ni styles can feel more comfortable to some, whilst others find the dome filled Sa.Me and Sa.Ba styles to fit their style and usage more. It is really a matter of preference. We have dancers buying sa.me as the iron dome helps their personal style of movement and other dancers that buy maguro as the flexibility in the toes fits better to their style of movement. Combine your own aesthetic and sense of style with the activities you plan to do wearing your Fugu boots, and decide accordingly.

What if I ordered the wrong shoe size?

If you receive your new Fugu shoes and they just don’t seem to fit good on your feet, or you made a mistake in the ordering process and you would like to switch, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will guide you through the entire exchange process.

Please note: returns and exchanges must be sent back in its original packaging and will not be accepted if you have already worn your Fugu shoes outdoors. We recommend that you try your Fugu shoes on inside the house first and only when you are certain that they fit you well, to continue to take them on your adventures outside.

What if I want to return my order?

We gladly accept returns and exchanges! All we ask is that you make us aware of your intention to return or exchange within 7 days of receiving your shoes and to ship the items back to us within 14 days of receiving your shoes. If you have placed an order but got cold feet, you also have the option to request a cancellation within 24 hours of purchase. Please note: all shipping costs are non refundable.

How long does it take to get my order?

It takes 2-3 working days to ship your order from receipt of payment. We use express shipping using DHL, taking 5-10 working days to arrive to you from our warehouse. These numbers are flexible as delivery time depends on your location and your countries custom protocols. Please note: we do not take any responsibility for any additional tax, fees and duties required from the customer, related to their order. We also do not take any responsibility

Are all your shoes vegan?

Yes, we are proud to be 100% vegan and cruelty free. All our shoes are made of mixed cotton canvas and recycled rubber.

How can I wash my Fugus?

The recommended recipe to washing and keeping your Fugu shoes happy and in tip top condition, is to hand wash your Fugu shoes with a shoe brush and natural soap. Afterwards, please leave them to dry out naturally instead of using a dryer. This is what we recommend. However, we know of customers throwing their Fugu shoes in the washing machine for efficiency. All we say is clean your shoes the way that works best for you, but clean them at your own risk!

What about customs and VAT regulations?

Each country has its own unique set of laws and rules surrounding tax and customs so please make sure you are aware of your own countries legalities and regulations before placing your order. We do not assume responsibility for postal or custom delays, or for any additional fees, taxes and duties related to your order.
