Constructed of durable cotton canvas for breathability, and recycled rubber because we love our Earth, this shorter ankle-high version of the Maguro style has been described as being as comfortable as going barefoot, and seriously, what better compliment could a shoe receive?

Take a look at the Ka-Ni from FUGU.

Constructed from breathable cotton canvas with a recycled hard rubber slip resistant sole, these Japanese shoes are nice to wear and nice to look at. Don’t let their light weight fool you, these lace-less vegan shoes are fierce, perfect for any terrain and can take whatever you’re dishing out.

I think they’re freaky and I like them a lot!

These are so comfortable, and unlike leather boots they are cool enough to wear in Florida in the warm weather. I have also ordered the taller steel-toed version for heavier-duty applications. I have very wide feet across the toes and they just fit, thanks to the design which makes them very adjustable.

Multi purpose, unique, Japanese inspired shoes!

So far these shoes have performed according to my expectations. They do not ship domestically, but the shipping was still fast. I’d MUCH prefer them to not be made in China as to me that is cutting corners and not as authentic as I would have hoped, but I’m still giving 5 stars since the product itself has held up nicely. I usually wait longer before reviewing something but I was asked to do them this favor and if something happens I’ll just come back and edit my review. But so far they seem durable, comfortable (although slightly running just a hair too big) and I like that they are so easy to slip on your feet and no tying necessary. Shoe strings are annoying so I love the Velcro instead. Overall my short time with them have been a positive experience and I use them mostly to workout at the gym. I wouldn’t feel too comfortable getting them muddy or wet from natural terrains etc as they seem to be an indoor shoe. Anyway, a fun shoe that makes for a good gym companion. 🙂

Japanese Size guide

Easily find your correct shoe size:

The length of the red line in Centimeters is your actual Japanese shoe size.

If you want to know the exact length of your new shoe, simply measure as in this example (diagonal line and not a straight line) and match it to the closest Japanese shoe size. VERY IMPORTANT: Measure both legs and use the longest line you get as your guide for your shoe size. It is also better to measure twice to make sure you didn’t miss your measurements. Example: if your red line is 24cm on your left foot and 24.5cm on your right foot, you should get the JP24.5 shoe size. Japanese Shoe Size Conversion Chart US/UK
